Originally from Manipura, he became a priest serving Govindaji at Ghati in Jaipur. He wrote a voluminous manual on Smrti titled Sri Govindarcana-candrika consisting of sixteen chapters following the style of Hari-bhakti-vilasa. It was published by Venkateswara Press, Bombay.
